Overview

“Over the last 30 years, more than 105,000 Iraqi refugees have been resettled to the United States…Iraqis are comprised of many different ethnic groups, the largest of which are Iraqi Arabs (75-80%). Iraqi Kurds represent 15-20% of the population.”

In Kansas, as of the end of 2014, Iraqis constituted 5% of the overall refugee settlement population (Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas, 2015).
